Patricia Vistein has been the
Director of Human Resources Management at the Texas
Workforce Commission in Austin, TX since 1996.
She received a B.S. in Education (Business) from
Western Illinois University in Macomb, Illinois in 1971.
Prior to working for TWC, Patricia worked for the Texas
Employment Commission for ten years.
She began as an assistant to the Commissioner
Representing Labor from 1983 to 1988.
She served as a Human Resources Specialist in the
Personnel Department until 1993 and then moved into the
Human Resources Director position until 1996.
Patricia’s background prior to her work for the
state, included support positions in the fields of
petrochemicals, marketing and finance.
Patricia’s Professional Affiliations include the Society
for Human Resources Management, Austin Human Resources
Management Association, International Personnel Management
Association, and International Association of Personnel in
Employment Security.
