Robert Counts
Robert Counts is the Director of
Customer Support and Planning for the Texas Commission for the Blind.
Robert ‘s state and community experience include being the Project
Manager for Blind Multi-handicapped consumer services in San Antonio,
Master Teacher with Center for children with multiple disabilities in
Dallas, a Psychologist and Center Director for community mental health
and mental retardation centers in Llano and San Marcos. While with the
U.S. Civil Service Commission he participated in a project to create
hiring procedures for Texas Police and Fire Departments. He was Project
Director for the Washington, D.C. based Urban Institute where he
directed projects having to do with independent Living Services for
people with disabilities.
Education: Bachelor of Science and Master of Arts in Psychology
from University of Texas at Arlington
