Texas Star Awards

This Award recognizes Texas State agencies and organizations that have made distinctive progress in organizational achievements and the use of human resources in providing services to the citizens of Texas. John Opperman introduced Governor Perry and the Governor after greeting the audience provided the Texas Star Awards. The recipient of the large organization award was the Texas Natural Resource Conservation Commission; the recipient of the medium sized organization was the Teacher Retirement System and the recipient of the small organization was the State Office of Administrative Hearings.
