CTR Directions, Maps, and Parking
Center for Transportation Research
We are located at 3208 Red River in the glass building on the west side of Red River. Reception is on the second floor, in Suite 200.
Here is a map of the area, courtesy of Google Maps. This Google page will give you the opportunity to generate driving directions from your location.
Limited visitor parking is available. Visitor spaces are color-coded green on this parking map (PDF, 605 KB). CAUTION: Do not park in the shopping center lot across the street; your car will be towed.
UT Shuttle from ECJ (Cockrell Hall)
You can catch the UT Red River Shuttle on the southeast side of the intersection at San Jacinto and Dean Keeton Street (26th Street). Take the UT shuttle to the bus stop just south of 32nd Street, which is on the east side of Red River.
To return to ECJ, catch the UT Red River Shuttle just south of 32nd Street and Red River (west side). Caution: Do not board the #15 Capital Metro bus—it goes downtown.
Bicycle Parking
CTR provides secure, covered parking for bikes. The lower level of the parking garage (P1) houses five racks to accomodate bike-riding staff, students, and visitors.
The City of Austin provides a number of resources for bicycle commuting in the Austin area, including both bicycle route maps, commuting tips, a collection of Texas laws pertaining to bicyles, and a list of pending and completed bike transit projects.
Bicycle parking on the main UT campus does require free registration; find out more from UT's Parking and Transportation Services.
