Austin Commuter Survey

Rush hour traffic

May 2005: CTR is gathering information on the types of traveler information that would help alleviate traffic congestion in the greater Austin metropolitan region. CTR proposes to use the data as feedback on the feasibility of developing and implementing what's known in the transportation industry as Advanced Traveler Information Systems (ATIS) to manage traffic conditions on Austin's major roads and highways. Integrated into the city's transportation system, ATIS technology and services can assist in relieving road congestion and improve safety. The survey will take no more than 10 minutes to complete and all responses are confidential. If you have questions or comments about this project, please e-mail Dr. Khali Persad at the Center for Transportation Research.
