Dr. Zhong Wang is currently a Research Associate in the Center for Transportation Research (CTR) at the University of Texas at Austin (UT). He earned his Ph.D. degree from UT in December 2005. His primary research areas include Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), travel demand forecasting/modeling, transportation system evaluation and decision making, and traffic operations. While a Ph.D. student at the University of Texas and a full time researcher at CTR he has authored more than 20 scientific papers and research reports. Dr. Zhong Wang is the recipient of the 2006 International Road Federation (IRF) Executive Leadership Award. He was nominated and admitted to the prestigious Sigma Xi, the Scientific Research Society, as a full member in 2007. He has served as reviewer for Journal of Transportation Forum, the Transportation Research Board Annual Meeting, and the World Congress of Intelligent Transportation Systems.
