Creating an account allows you to take full advantage of EUREKA!™ and all it can provide you in the way of information and contacts.
You can create a new record or update your research, contact, and institutional information on an existing record. Periodically updating your record ensures that correct information will appear in searches by potential collaborators and interested students.
You can also post openings for undergraduate researchers on specific research projects. Interested students will not contact you directly. Rather, staff in the Bridging Disciplines Program and the College of Natural Science's Undergraduate Research Program will act as liaisons between interested undergraduates and faculty.
Once you have logged in as a faculty user, you can also search or browse student records. This function allows you to view information about students who have expressed an interest in participating in research.
Creating an account allows you to communicate your skills and experience to faculty who are interested in involving students in their research. This can be an excellent step in connecting with a research project at UT. For more help getting started, see Strategies for Getting Involved.
The information you enter into your account also allows faculty and administrators to identify areas of increased student interest and to focus funding efforts for undergraduate research on those areas.
