Each spring the Structures program holds a 3-day recruitment weekend for top applicants to the graduate program. Invited students participate in numerous activities throughout the weekend which give them an insight into life as a structures graduate student and allow them to make an invormed decision about pursuing their graduate degree at UT. Recruits are paired up with current graduate students who serve as hosts for the weekend. Hosts not only provide housing, but also show the prospects around campus and introduce them to Austin entertainment. Organized events during recruitment weekend include opportunities to meet with the structures faculty and staff, an overview of our graduate program, a tour of Ferguson Lab, and social gatherings including a genuine Texas barbeque.
