New Hours of Operation for Sponsored Projects Award Administration

I am pleased to announce that David Ivey has joined the Office of Sponsored Projects as the University Export Controls Officer.
David has been a partner with Baker Hostetler in Houston and has been engaged by the University as outside legal counsel on export controls issues. He not only brings a wealth of experience and knowledge but familiarity with our research. He has a full understanding of export controls compliance as it applies to university research.
David grew up in Austin and received his undergraduate degree from UT Austin and his J.D. from Texas Tech University School of Law.

I am delighted to announce that David Hawkins has joined the Office of Sponsored Projects as Associate Director. David will oversee the post-award negotiation unit of OSP.
David was Manager of Research Administration in the Department of Research Administration/LegalvServices at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. David received his undergraduate degree from Stephen F. Austin University and his MBA from Sam Houston State University.
NIH will no longer accept paper progress reports after August 1, 2010 (see Notice NOT-OD-10-093). All SNAP reports will be required to be submitted electronically through the NIH Commons at that time.
