The University of Texas at Austin has been invited to submit abstracts for the Lockheed Martin University Initiatives program.  The program "...has the goal of establishing research activities which: 1) focus on technologies enabling strategic growth; 2) provide principal support for a faculty lead investigator and research team; and 3) aim at results in about two years useful for further product development."

1. Dean's or ORU Director's (or designates) Letter of Nomination with rankings and justification.  
2. Completed Project Abstract Template [Word] including a statement of less than 750 words (text only) stating relevance of project to Lockheed Martin Strategic Technology Threads  [Please note that the abstract itself must state that it contains no confidential or proprietary information.  Please do not include links to other materials.] 

Each department/college may submit up to 2 internal applications.
