Telephone Coding Sheet
At Phases 1, 2, and 3, respondents provided open-ended descriptions of conflicts that had occurred in their marriage over a 24-hour time period. Interviewers coded the topic of conflict and how many times conflict occurred.
Anything Else
Respondents were asked during Phase Four to report anything else they felt was
important for us to know since the last time they were interviewed.
Benefits of Divorce
Divorced participants were asked during Phase Four to report anything else they feel they gained when they divorced their spouse.
Other Materials
A variety of materials have been collected for many spouses over the
four phases such as copies of wedding vows, photos, newspaper clippings, etc.
