Life Events Time LineAt Phases One, Two, and Three, spouses indicated any major life events that they or their partner had experienced, when the event occurred, and provided any comments they may have had on the situation. Examples of particular life events include things such as unemployment, birth of a child, death of a relative, and buying a home. This qualitative data allows us to build a large-scale context for the couple, and helps students who write the case studies to understand how macrolevel events may effect individuals at the microlevel.
