NAS requests nominations for outstanding scientists
The National Academy of Sciences is seeking nominations for its 2005 awards for outstanding achievements in sciences.
The categories are chemistry, cosmology, solar physics/solar-terrestrial relationships, astrophysics, materials science, geophysics, aeronautical engineering, microbiology and psychology. It also wants nominations for achievements in the industrial application of science and the application of science to the public welfare.
The organization also will make awards for young investigators in biology and medicine, molecular biology, psychology and computational science/applied mathematics.
