In this webinar, experts in information security and research ethics will explain reporting requirements and regulatory definitions, define the roles of the IRB and information security department, and describe procedures to coordinate response to security breaches. These procedures can ensure timely reporting by researchers, prompt response by information security and/or the IRB, accurate documentation, and prevention of additional incidents.

This educational session addresses general IRB processes, background information, the levels of review, and how to submit. Each IRB educational session targets Investigators and potential Investigators across all disciplines. This session will include a brief presentation followed a question and answer period. Investigators are encouraged to bring lap-tops or a printed version of the online proposal for face-to-face assistance with their submissions.
Investigators submitting full board proposals are no longer required to submit 20 paper copies of their submission packets. Researchers are requested to submit one paper or electronic copy (pdf only) of their entire proposal to the Office of Research Support by the submission deadline.
