Announcing the 2006 Pavement Preservation Seminar

The 2007 Pavement Preservation Seminar will be held October 8-9 at the Austin Convention Center in conjunction with the 24th Annual Association of General Contractors of Texas Trade & Equipment Show. Sponsors for the Seminar are the Asphalt Emulsion Manufacturers Association (AEMA), the Associated General Contractors of Texas (AGC), the Foundation for Pavement Preservation (FP2), the Texas Pavement Preservation Center (TPPC), and the UT Center for Lifelong Engineering Education (CLEE).

The seminar will begin with academic presentations covering such topics as chip sealing, tack coat applications, best practices of seal coats, crack modeling, and many more.  After the academic presentations, workshops on binder issues, aggregate issues, micro-surfacing and slurry seals, and seal coats will be given.  Other presentations will cover the latest research and techniques in crack sealing, guidelines for pavement treatment selection, and the Texas Pavement Preservation Center.  The seminar will provide attendees with a thorough knowledge of the latest innovations in pavement preservation.
