Research Interests
I’m generally interested in sensory neuroscience and neuroethology.
For my thesis project I have uncovered in C.elegans the first humidity-sensitive neurons and molecules. Intriguingly humans have close orthologs to these genes in the epithelial sensory neurons suggesting a possible conserved humidity sensing strategy across species.
