Scholarship Fund

The University of Texas Retired Faculty-Staff Association Scholarship Endowment Fund was established early in the association's life. As an endowment fund, only the income from the principal is available for scholarships, and first awards were modest.

The Fund is supported by gifts from members and non-members, usually donated in memory or celebration of a person connected in some way with the donor or the University. With increasing membership the Fund's value has increased, with a present market value of more than $250,000.

The Fund is administered by the UT Office of Student Financial Services, and this year (2007-2008) we have been able to provide eleven scholarships, nine for the long session, and two for the summer session.

 Meet our RFSA Scholars

Gifts to the RFSA Scholarship Fund may be designated to memorialize friends and colleagues, to honor individuals, or to celebrate special occasions, such as birthdays, weddings, accomplishments or friendships, or gifts may be undesignated.
