The Building Emergency Plan is a customized emergency plan for each building on campus. The plan is important because certain emergency conditions may present the need to evacuate a building or to seek shelter in buildings. Pre-planning and rehearsal are effective ways to ensure that building occupants recognize the evacuation alarm, the outdoor warning system and other emergency communications, and know how to respond.
