January 30, 2008—University Services and Clampitt Paper hosted a lunchtime event to educate the campus community about green paper products. University Services staff members and about 25 print buyers from across the university attended the gathering and listened attentively to a presentation on business sustainability from Derek Smith, president of Derek Smith and Associates.

Smith’s talk emphasized the ways in which green practices are good for businesses, and event participants got to ask him questions and examine samples of eco-friendly papers from Clampitt Paper.

In-Plant Graphics magazine published a story about this event in their March 2008 issue, and University Services hopes to build upon this success and host many more green events in the future.
