QuickTrip Online Reservations

Travel Management Services offers a UT Austin on-line reservation tool. QuickTrip will allow travelers and travel arrangers to view airline schedules, fares (including our State of Texas contract airfares), car, and hotel information for travel planning and budgeting purposes.

The traveler or travel arranger can book a reservation via QuickTrip with a reduced travel agency service fee of $17.85.

• QuickTrip is recommended for simple domestic itineraries.

• It is for University faculty, staff and student business travel only. A UT EID is required.

• An electronic Request for Travel Authorization (VE5) must be used. This document is required to be completed and approved prior to ticket issuance.

• Carlson Wagonlit is the travel agency that will quality control and issue electronic tickets booked through QuickTrip.

Important Tips Before You Begin

• Read the QuickTrip FAQs (at right on this page) and instructions on the QuickTrip site.

• QuickTrip has three separate flight/price search criteria:

1. State Contract/Unrestricted airfares

2. Southwest Airlines

3. Lowest Available airfares (these would include non-refundable airfares)

If you wish to compare these airfares, you will need to do three separate searches.

• If you are making reservations for others, you must designate yourself their travel arranger. Both you and the traveler must have an established login, password and profile.  See the FAQs for more information on setting this up.

• Email CWT with questions about your QuickTrip reservation or changes to your reservation after it has been ticketed at
utquicktrip@carlsonwagonlit.com

• The $17.85 service fee applies at the time Carlson Wagonlit issues the ticket.

• A traveler's approved VE5 (Request for Travel Authorization) must be entered into QuickTrip's Itinerary Plan page before a reservation will be confirmed and ticketed.
