Campus community invited to open forums with presidential finalist

AUSTIN, Texas—The University of Texas System and The University of Texas at Austin invite students, faculty and staff to attend open forums with the finalist for the position of president, William Powers Jr., Esq.

The campus-wide forum for faculty and staff will be held from 4:30-5:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 17, in the LBJ Auditorium, located within the LBJ Presidential Library. Parking is available in the lot on the east side of the LBJ Library.

Professor Douglas Laycock, a member of the Presidential Search Committee, will serve as facilitator for the Nov. 17 forum, which will include a question and answer session.

The Nov. 17 forum will also be available as a live webcast and on Campus Cable Channel 45 and Student Dorm Cable Channel 11. The live webcast will be streamed at http://realaudio.cc.utexas.edu:8080/ramgen/redundant/channel1.rm. [RealPlayer is needed to view this webcast. Download RealPlayer.] 

The student forum will be held from 4-5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 18, in ACES 2.302, the AVAYA Auditorium.

Kevin Robnett, School of Law student and a member of the Presidential Search Committee, will serve as facilitator for the student forum.
