On August 1, 1999, at dusk, the Tower will be darkened in tribute to those
who died and those whose lives were touched by the August 1, 1966
shooting from the Tower. Only two tiers of light will remain shining, leaving the clockface in shadows, and framing a dark band that symbolizes a community of family and friends that together mourn an incomparable loss. |
