Nancy Francisco Stewart, Ph.D. ’03, is an associate professor at Jacksonville State University Department of Sociology and Social Work. In June, she received the 2011 Lifetime Achievement Award from NASW-Alabama Chapter. She was also recognized this year by the Mid-South Division of the American Cancer Society for “Best Practices in Resource Identification” for a project conducted with her students to develop sustainable resources for cancer patients. Nancy is a first-time grandmother to Moira, born June 12th to her daughter, Leia, and son-in-law, Andy Jex.
