Jane Addams Field Education Endowment Established

School of Social Work Dean Barbara W. White announced the establishment of the Jane Addams Field Education Endowment at the recent Field Instructor Development Institute.
The purpose of this endowment is to support the development of the field education program at the School of Social Work, and it will allow the Office of Field Education to draw funds each year toward supporting the School's field activities. This $25,000 endowment was established anonymously by individuals who identified themselves as being committed to field education.
Each year, nearly 400 social work students are placed in some 300 agencies from Austin to Australia, from South Carolina to South Africa. The Jane Addams Field Education Endowment honors and supports the agency-based field instructors, students and clinical faculty members with awards, trainings, educational materials and grants.
To make a contribution to the Jane Addams Field Education Endowment, please see the gift form on the School of Social Work Web site.
