Submit An Event, Announcement, or Spotlight
Who can publish?
The School encourages UT, the Austin community, and other schools of social work to use our site to share information. The School of Social Work reserves the right to decide if and where to publish submissions. There are two types of publishable items:
- Events - Calendar item that takes place on a particular date
- Announcements and Spotlights - Announcements of interest such as deadlines and news worthy social work items, and spotlights that highlight personal achievements, awards, etc.
Items may be published:
- on the Web
- on the TV Monitor in the front lobby
- in The Poolside Press
How to publish?
There are three ways to publish:
1) Email Flyer
Send an email with an attached pdf, word document, or powerpoint slide explaining and promoting the item to the address: ssw-news@utlists.utexas.edu. Sending in a powerpoint slide is the recommended method to get your item published on the TV Monitor in the lobby.
2) Email With Information
Send an email to the address: ssw-news@utlists.utexas.edu with the following information:
- Title
- Url (if there is a Web address, you do not need to provide anything else and we will link to your site.)
- Date and time (if dated event)
- Description
- Location (if necessary)
- Contact info
3) Submit Form
Complete and submit the form below. Incomplete forms will not be processed. After the submission is approved it will be processed and added to the appropriate publishing area. ('*' marks required items).
