Welcome to the Inter-American Institute for Youth Justice (Justice4Youth). We have created this Website to serve as a clearinghouse of resources focused on assisting local, national, and multi-national groups to respond positively to issues of delinquency and youth violence. The Institute’s mission is to find creative, innovative ways to improve the effectiveness of policies, social and academic programs, and community-based initiatives for court-involved youth. Our focus cuts across the Americas because youth violence and delinquency contribute to social and economic unrest within and across national borders. If you are interested in our work or in learning more about the juvenile justice arena, examine our recent initiatives, explore research and scholarship by juvenile justice topics or country, or take a look at ways our students are working to better understand one of today’s most troubled and challenging youth populations.
Please feel free to explore this site and to contact us for more information or if you want to get involved!
