Research Projects at CSWR
Since 1980, the Center for Social Work Research has conducted research and demonstration projects funded by a variety of sponsors. Many of the School's faculty place their research emphasis on at-risk families, children and youth, mental health, and substance abuse. Faculty have conducted and published research on school dropouts, teenage pregnancy, adoption issues, case management with AFDC recipients, child care services, substance abuse treatment, the effectiveness of computer applications for service delivery, conflict resolution, persistent poverty, and service accessibility for persons with disabilities, among other subjects.
Undergraduate and graduate students are encouraged to pursue grants and conduct research under the supervision of faculty.
