PACE Project Evaluation

Principal Investigator:
Jim Schwab, Ph.D.

Duration: 9/1/98 - 8/31/01

In September 1998, the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services began a pilot project for delivering substitute care services to abused and neglected children through a managed care model of networked services called PACE (Permanency Achieved through Coordinated Efforts). The Center for Social Work Research will conduct an evaluation of the program outcomes, using a revised framework that was developed under the previous year's contract. The evaluation framework makes maximum use of existing data resources to determine the impact of the new strategy for delivering services in the pilot region.
