Spanish Translation of Sexual Assault Survivor Booklet for National Distribution

Victims Rights Advocacy of Oxford, Ohio contracted with the Diversity Institute of the School of Social Work to provide services for a grant with the U.S. Office of Justice Program to develop a sexual assault information booklet for underserved populations. The following services and products were provided:

  • Technical assistance and consultation regarding the development of the booklet outline and content to ensure the materials were culturally sensitive and appropriate for Spanish speaking persons.
  • Consultation with the grant's National Advisory Committee in developing and distributing the booklet.
  • Database development and distribution plan of recommended and appropriate agencies in the nation which may serve the target population of Spanish speaking sexual assault survivors.
  • Translation of the booklet into Spanish, including an independent review of the booklet for language and cultural appropriateness.

Single copies of the booklet are available at no cost in English, Spanish, Braille, or large print English. For 2-10 additional copies, please send a check or money order for $2.00 for each copy along with your mailing information.
