Study of Texas Nursing Homes

This study explored the perceptions of Texas nursing home residents, their families, and nursing home administrators about what factors they believe contribute to quality of care. The purposes were to:

Findings suggest that meeting psychosocial needs are paramount to a "good" nursing home environment. These include creating a homelike, nurturing and attentive environment.
