Principal Investigator:

Duration: October, 2004 - May, 2005

Using input from professionals at two childhood cancer survivor clinics in Houston, Texas, this research study investigates the resiliency of childhood cancer survivors. In order to gather information about about the salient features of resiliency for this population three sources are used: the professional literature on childhood cancer survivors and the professionals at two Houston-based survivor clinics. This project then 1) conducts a literature review, 2) affords the opportunity to meet with professionals at two locations (The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center Medical Clinic for Cancer Survivors and Texas Children's Hospital Children's Cancer Center and Hematology Service Long Term Survivors Clinic, and 3) design a pilot study.
