Support the School of Social Work
The School of Social Work at The University of Texas at Austin, with its master's degree program ranked as one of the top ten graduate programs in social work in the U.S., is built on a tradition of excellence in teaching, research and service. For more than 50 years, the school has prepared professional social workers for practice in a world of increasing complexity that still struggles to meet basic human needs.
The school's proud and illustrious history is the enduring legacy of bright students, talented faculty, dedicated staff, and accomplished alumni. By being true to our mission, we ensure future success.
No public institution in the 21st century, however, is sustained solely by its state government. As we have transitioned over the last decade from a state-funded university to a state-assisted university, we have survived and thrived thanks in whole to the private support we receive from alumni, friends, corporations and foundations. Annually, more than 80% of our budget comes from private support--a fact that continues to humble and to encourage us to work towards excellence every day.
