Jenifer DeAtley, LMSW

Lecturer

Professor DeAtley teaches macro social work courses that deal with organizations, leadership, social change and professional skills. Ms. DeAtley has been a non-profit manager and leader for the past 15 years, developing and implementing innovative and strategic programming that addresses health disparities among youth. Currently, she develops and manages a portfolio of US programs for EngenderHealth that endeavor to turn the needle on sexual health related outcomes for youth and young adults. She weaves this real world experience into her classes, complimenting course material with community level practice. She serves on the board of directors for the Healthy Teen Network and does advising and consulting work with local small and start up non-profits and organizations on the side. Ms. DeAtley holds a Bachelors’ Degree in Sociology from UT Austin and Masters of Social Work from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
