Eden Hernandez Robles is an Assistant Instructor for the Bachelor of Social Work Program and serves as a Research Assistant for the Center for Social Work Research. She previously worked with the San Antonio community through the Good Samaritan Community Services, and provided field education for graduate level students at the University of Texas at San Antonio School of Social Work, the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio School of Medicine and School of Nursing.
She has co-authored chapters in major publications including The School Services Sourcebook, Second Edition and Chemical dependency: A Systems Approach, Fourth Edition. She has guest lectured at Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, The University of Texas at San Antonio, and The University of Texas at Austin. She has received the David M. and Zuria F. Austin Endowed Excellence Fellowship, the Helen Farabee Memorial Endowed Presidential Fellowship, the Graduate School at The University of Texas at Austin McNair Scholar’s Fellowship, and is a former McNair Scholar.
Alcohol health and research, social work practice in bilingual-bicultural environments with an emphasis on Mexican-origin families, adult and adolescent substance and recovery, evaluation, and interpersonal violence. Areas of practice specialization: program development and community practice.
