About

Kristi Waidhofer originally joined Drs. Velasquez and von Sternberg in 2003, working summers as a research assistant for the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston in the Department of Family and Community Medicine. She was attending the University of Texas at Austin pursuing her BA in Psychology when she joined the HBRT Team in June 2006. Kristi graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in May 2007 and now works full time for HBRT as a Social Science Research Associate. At HBRT, Kristi works as a Project Coordinator on the Texas Department of State Health Services Statewide Motivational Interviewing Training project. She recently has taken on the title of Assistant Project Coordinator for Project Choices Plus. This clinical trial on FASD prevention being conducted at the Harris County Hospital District in Houston. Kristi also aids in the writing of federal grant proposals, manages a group of work study students and oversees general office organization. Kristi plans to pursue her M.S.S.W. at the University of Texas at Austin, School of Social Work in 2010.
