The state of Texas, through the leadership of the Health and Human Services Commission, has received an 1115 Medicaid Waiver. Regional health partnerships have proposed transformational projects to address key health care needs in their region. Staff at the Texas Institute for Excellence in Mental Health (TIEMH) will collaborate with TriWest Group to establish a database summarizing the 1115 Transformation projects that have been identified by the Texas Health and Human Services Commission as behavioral health-related projects. Project staff will review and capture key information on each project narrative. Follow-up with regional health partnerships or other identified project leads will occur as necessary. The project database will be analyzed and summarized in a brief report, inclusive of opportunities for enhancing quality through evaluation frameworks and learning collaboratives.
