Trainers with the UT Health Behavior Research and Training Institute, led by Dr. Velasquez, developed and delivered Motivational Interviewing training sessions to 280 state-funded substance abuse treatment providers via training sessions in seven health regions across the state. Sessions included both group training and one-on-one coaching sessions.
