As an outgrowth of Texas Putting Prevention to Work, “Vegetables on Wheels” is designed as a pilot study to examine the effectiveness of using a mobile produce market to increase access and consumption of affordable fresh fruits and vegetables in a rural, underserved area in west Texas.  The proposed study will implement a weekly mobile produce market on a weekday for 4 weeks in February, 2012 with multiple locations in the community of Grape Creek, Texas.
