Isabel Egüez
is from Quito, Ecuador. She earned a BSW as well as a B.A. in Latin American Studies from The University of Texas at Austin. Isabel chose to attend The University of Texas at Austin School of Social Work for the many international field placements available and because Austin is one of the best places to live. She is currently a graduate assistant in the DiNitto Center for Career Services. In the spring, Isabel will be doing her final field placement at The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in Geneva, Switzerland. She will be working in the area of Community Services focusing on children, women, the elderly and refugees with disabilities. When asked to give one word to describe her experience as a student in the MSSW program, Isabel said, "Amazing!"
