A tremendous opportunity to learn about memberships and the professional development initiatives of the 9 campus staff and faculty organizations listed below. Lunch is on us -- but bring your own beverage!

Academic Counselors Association | ACA was created as a forum for sharing ideas and exchanging information related to the delivery of advising services at The University of Texas at Austin. A primary goal is to provide its members with opportunities with professional development and peer support, ultimately building a network of resources to enhance student access in college. Equally important is the representation and promotion of the interests of academics advising within the larger university community.

Asian/Asian American Faculty and Staff Association | AAAFSA's mission at The University of Texas at Austin is to support, celebrate, and empower Asian and Asian American faculty and staff by fostering a community that provides opportunities for networking, communication, and growth -- both personal and professional. AAAFSA also serves as a voice that represents and advocates for its members along with increasing awareness of Asian and Asian American issues within the University community.

Association of Professionals in Student Affairs | APSA members are UT professionals committed to excellence in the delivery of student services and to the university's purpose of transforming lives for the benefit of society. APSA was organized in 1998, to increase communication among professionals working in student services. Today, APSA is truly a campus-wide organization, with members working in the divisions of Student Affairs, Academic Affairs, and Diversity and Community Relations.

Black Faculty and Staff Association | BFSA serves as a resource for African-American staff, faculty and students at The University of Texas at Austin through the promotion of professional development, mentoring, networking, wellness, scholarships and programs that emphasize the legacy and traditions of the African-American community

Graduate Coordinator Network | GCN's purpose is two-fold: to provide graduate coordinators with the skills, abilities, and knowledge that will enable them to better administer and lead their graduate program(s); and to provide a forum where they can meet with other Graduate Coordinators on campus to exchange information, develop and implement new ideas, and learn new skills.

Higher Education Administration Student Professional Association | HEASPA was created to meet the growing needs of higher education administration students, HEASPA was founded as a means to: increase the communication among students, faculty, and staff of the Higher Education Administration department, strengthen the personal and professional relationships among students, faculty, and staff of the Higher Education Administration department, provide professional and academic development opportunities for students of the Higher Education Administration department and establish a network of academic and professional resources upon which students of the department may draw.

Hispanic Faculty/Staff Association | HFSA is a campus-wide organization that provides opportunities for social and cultural interaction among Hispanic/Latino and other professionals at The University of Texas at Austin. We encourage communication, support networking, serve as a voice for cultural and educational issues, and promote employment and career opportunities.

Pride and Equity Faculty Staff Association | PEFSA advances the educational mission of the University of Texas at Austin by cultivating a safe and inclusive environment that values, celebrates and affirms the sexual and gender diversity of UT Austin's faculty and staff members. We strive to increase visibility and to encourage meaningful involvement of gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and allied faculty and staff within the campus community as well as to advocate workplace equity and to promote educational growth in a climate of mutual respect.

Staff Council | UTSC's goal is to promote a positive and collaborative work environment. The purposes are: to serve as a representative advisory council, to provide a vehicle for communication of interests, concerns, and issues that affect staff, to present recommendations to University leadership and to provide nominations to University Standing Committees.
