The Black Faculty and Staff Association at the University of Texas at Austin exists as a space to share resources to improve the quality of our work environment and of the students’ education. We also celebrate cultural events that include and educate the collective campus community. Our goals for the year include:
• Creating more mentoring opportunities and
support for our students
• Working more with other University
Registered Groups
• Providing more professional development for BFSA members
• Continuing to enhance our signature events
We need your involvement in order to be successful
in these endeavors and are seeking active members
to assist us this year. We ask that you invest just
one hour each month into the Black community on
campus.
On behalf of the 2012-2013 Executive Board, we
are extremely excited to serve you this year. We
realize that BFSA has a strong network that
represents a variety of fields. We look forward to
your participation in BFSA this year and seeing
you at the events.
Sincerely,
Philemon Brown, BFSA President
