Kyle Clark - President

Some say, "At the end of the day, all you have is your word. Kyle says, that at the end of the day, you will only be remembered for your
actions." Kyle Clark graduated from Oklahoma State University in 2001
with his Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and a minor in African and
African-American Studies.
In 2004, Kyle received his Master's in Higher Education Administration
from the University of Texas at Austin. Currently, he works at UT as a
Student Affairs Administrator, with New Student Orientation Programs.
Kyle conducts trainings, workshops and teaches courses with a
focus on social justice, inclusion and fighting oppression.
Kyle advises the Black Student Alliance and Student African American
Brotherhood at UT, however, he gives his support to many organizations,
specifically culturally-focused organizations. He is the recipient of
the Brenda Burt Staff Award, the Most Outstanding Staff Award (both
voted by students), the Presidential Staff Excellence Award, the Texas
Parents Staff Merit Awards, and the Glenn Maloney 40 Acres Award (also
voted by students).

Malik Crowder - Vice-President

Malik A. Crowder is a hall coordinator at the University of Texas and works in the division of housing and food at Jester Hall. He has been a leader in student affairs for over ten years working for Abilene Christian University & the American Musical & Dramatic Academy in New York City, where he directed housing, campus life and special events. Malik has a bachelor’s degree in family studies and masters in human development. During graduate school at (ACU) he was elected as the president of the graduate class. He also served as an officer in the Taylor county NAACP as chairman of press & publicity. Malik served as the chairman for entertainment with the East Austin Relay for life which is sponsored by the American Cancer Society. He and his wife participate on many cancer charities including the Lance Armstrong Foundation. Malik is married to the lovely Sharon Crowder of Abilene, Texas. He credits her term as a board member for the American Cancer Society in getting him started in professional volunteer work.

Jennifer Martinson - Public Relations Officer

Jennifer earned a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Northern Arizona University and Master's degree in Counseling with an emphasis in College Student Services from the University of San Diego. She worked in Student Affairs for 7 years with fraternities and sororities, student organizations, new student orientation, and leadership programs before becoming an Academic Advisor. While at UT, Jennifer has served as the Academic Counselors Association Advising Expo Co-Chair, Freshman Interest Group Facilitator, and is active in initiatives to increase the number of students of color and women in her department. Her husband secured a position as an Air Traffic Controller at Austin Bergstrom International Airport, which prompted their relocation from San Diego to Austin. Although Jennifer will remain a lifelong San Diego Chargers/New York Jets fan, she is learning to embrace her new city and will be participating in her first (little) marathon in January.

Ted Sanders - Historian

Ted serves as Technology Director for the Division of Diversity and Community Engagement at the University of Texas at Austin. He is responsible for managing the division’s technology department, including web development, systems analysis, support and strategic planning. In addition, Ted is the owner TS Media, a media production firm based in Round Rock, Texas.
Ted has been active in various community service organizations including the Boys and Girls Club of Brazos Valley, Austin Meals on Wheels and the YMCA of Greater Williamson County.
He is also a member of various organizations including the National Association of Black Journalists, the Society for Technical Communication and the International Webmasters Association. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism/Communications from Texas A&M University and is a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc.
