The Search for Truth
Encouraging Public Discussion
Thomas Jefferson said, "We are not afraid to follow truth wherever it may
lead, nor to tolerate any error so long as reason is left free to combat
it."
It is in this spirit that we pursue the question,
"Quae res veritas?" - What is truth?
"Transforming America from the Inside Out"
The purpose of The Veritas Forum is to encourage rational and
thoughtful discussion. All evening and afternoon lectures will be
followed by a time for questions and answers.
Admission to all Veritas events is free of charge. Parking is
available
at the Dobie Center parking garage. Simply bring your parking
ticket
to be stamped at the Veritas event.
In conjunction with the Veritas Forum an accredited 3 hour week
long, short course will be offered at the Institute for
Christian Studies near the UT campus. Prof Jim Baird who is an
Oxford PhD in the Philosophy of Religion will be lecturing every
morning 9-12 and discussing reactions to the Veritas panels and
lectures. For enrollment information call 1-888-ICS-AUSTIN or
