The Hispanic Faculty/Staff Association has a distinguished record of accomplishments based on service to the The University of Texas at Austin community. Our members participate in a number of activities and programs, both as advisors and as volunteers. HFSA also sponsors its own major service project, the Holiday Assistance Program. In May 2006, The University of Texas Volunteer and Service Learning Center (VSLC) recognized the contributions that this program has made over the years at its annual Volunteer Recognition Ceremony and presented HFSA with the 2006 Outstanding Faculty/Staff Organization Award for Community Service.
