Since 1999, the Hispanic Faculty/Staff Association has recognized the leadership and service contributions of faculty and staff from across the University community. Nominations are solicited from the membership of the HFSA, with the awards being made during the June meeting of the association.

Priority for the awards is given to HFSA members, but non-members can be recognized if they have made important contributions to UT Austin and the HFSA.
