MESSAGE FROM THE CO-CHAIRS
Since 1991, The University of Texas at Austin's Hispanic Faculty/Staff Association (HFSA) has worked to advance several important goals:
  • To create a welcoming environment for all members of the community;
  • To improve the University's work environment;
  • To involve members in leadership roles and activities across the University; and
  • To promote a better understanding and appreciation of the Hispanic culture and heritage.
Because we recognize the value of personal and professional growth, we sponsor a number of programs and activities that create networking and leadership development opportunities for our members and others in the university community. We take pride in our signature events: the annual Leadership Symposium, our scholarship program for UT Austin students, and our holiday assistance program for families in need. These activities are opportunities to contribute to the welfare of our members and of the University community at large. During the academic year, we also host a variety of social events that build community and offer opportunities for networking. We invite you to experience this camaraderie and enjoy lunch with us at least once a month by coming to our HFSA meetings.
We welcome you to the HFSA web site and invite you to view our pages to learn more about the organization and its members. Join us in celebrating our culture, giving voice to the concerns of the Hispanic community on campus, and making a contribution to creating a warm and welcoming learning and work environment at The University of Texas!
Un saludo amistoso,
