Instructions for submitting your ISR One Page Proposal / Abstract:

All students must submit a one page abstract or short proposal signed by their supervising professor and program Graduate Advisor (graduate students) or departmental Academic Advisor (undergraduate students) to Heather Thompson at the Study Abroad Office.

To facilitate this process, please download and complete the Cover Sheet. Students can drop this off at the Study Abroad Office front desk or mail to SAO's physical address, attention Heather Thompson. Students do not need to see Mrs. Thompson in person to turn in this document.

The Study Abroad Office realizes that many ISR applicants will have already left town or the country and/or your supervising professor will have left town or the country by the time you are ready to apply for this status. As such you will not be able to obtain ink signatures on a piece of paper. If you are in this situation, than SAO asks the student to email the one page proposal to his or her faculty member and advisor and these individuals forward the document on to Heather Thompson (heatherm@austin.utexas.edu) via email stating approval for the proposal.
