UT System Global Initiative
Under the leadership of the UT System Global Initiatives Offices, a few UT Austin reciprocal exchange programs have been selected for use by students at UT Arlington, UT San Antonio and UT Tyler.
These opportunities are perfect for the student who is looking for an immersion opportunity as a foreign university overseas. Students will take class along side students from the host country. Special courses for foreigners are usually not offered. Several of the programs offer courses in English in addition to the native language.
Reciprocal Exchange Options
- University of Copenhagen, Denmark
- Hanyang University, South Korea
- Pontificia Universidad Catolica, Peru
- Uppsala University, Sweden
- Bogazici University, Turkey
TASSEP Exchange Options
The TASSEP website has links to the more than 25 schools that participate in this consortium exchange. Students should use this website to research universities, but should not contact a foreign school directly until he or she has spoken with their home campus study abroad advisor.
TASSEP exchanges were developed to support students wanting to take science courses abroad. Even though many of the schools on the website offer courses outside of the sciences, students seeking to enroll at one of these universities will be required to take at least one science class per semester abroad.
Costs:
UT System students will pay the approximate cost of their home campus tuition, plus transportation and living expenses abroad. All students will pay a $50 application fee to UT Austin. This fee covers administrative costs as well as the cost for the official UT transcript that will be sent to your home institution.
