Co-op GOES Scholarships
The University Co-op supports University of Texas at Austin students through the very generous Co-op Global Opportunities in Education Scholarship (Co-op GOES) award program. Awards provide scholarships toward the cost of participating in one of the exciting and innovative study abroad programs developed by UT. These study abroad programs and the Co-op GOES awards have been initiated by the Office of the Executive Vice President and Provost and the Study Abroad Office in close collaboration with various UT schools and colleges.
All students participating in a Maymester Abroad Program and select summer programs are eligible to apply for the Co-op GOES Scholarship.
Note, however, that funding for graduate students is limited. Graduate students in particular should investigate other funding sources.
The deadline for Maymester participants wanting to apply for the scholarship will be November 1.
The deadline for Summer participants wanting to apply for the scholarship will be February 15.
Awards are based on merit and financial need. Award amounts vary. Several comprehensive scholarships will be given.
The application will consist of a basic online application, a listing
of your honors and awards, a bit of financial information about yourself
and the program and a one page essay. Letters of recommendation are
NOT required.
