Corporate Partner Scholarships for Study Abroad

The following scholarships are given by corporations to support international education at UT Austin.

American Airlines Global Leaders Travel Scholarship

  • Every undergraduate student going on UT sponsored program should apply.
  • Eligibility: Undergraduate students only
  • Deadline: October 1 (spring); February 15 (maymester, summer); March 1 (fall)
  • Amount: Airline Ticket (one award given for spring, one award given for fall; one award given between maymester and summer applicants)
  • Award restrictions:
    Seats are subject to availability and are issued to destinations AA serves directly. Awards are valid on AA/American Eagle only, not other partner airlines or code share flights. Routing changes after ticketing may be made if booking inventory is available. Students will be responsible for the change fee. Date/time changes after ticketing may be made if booking inventory is available. Neither AA or UT can guarantee students a ticket to the final destination or on the date desired. In some cases, the ticket will be issued to the nearest major destination that AA serves directly. Students will be responsible for any costs associated with getting from this point to the final destination.

    American Airlines also provides UT students with a one time use discount program that provides students with a 10% discount on an AA flight (partner airlines excluded). Discount coupons can be obtained from the Study Abroad Office front desk.

    AT&T Foundation Global Scholarship

  • Every undergaduate student going on a UT sponsored semester long program should apply (summer and maymester not eligible)
  • Eligibility - Undergraduate only
  • Students who work to put themselves through college and who will be at a financial disadvantage while abroad
  • Deadline: March 1 (for Fall abroad); October 1 (for Spring abroad)
  • Amount : $1500 - $3000
  • Approximately 10 awards per competition cycle
